Day 4 :
Kairouan / Sbeitla

Following brakfast, depart to Kairouan, one of the Islamic landmarks. You will discover the basins of the Aghlabites, important hydraulic work of the 9th century AD, the great Mosque (Okaba Ibn Nafaa Mosque), ancient sanctuary fortified with buttresses, the mausoleum of Sidi Sahbi (the Prophet’s barber), and the Ibrahim Ibn Aghlab Museum.

Visit the Medina and the souks where you can admire unique Kairouan rugs. Lunch in Kairouan.

In the afternoon, continue to Sbeitla, known in the Antiquity as Sufetula. At the entrance of the town, admire Diocletian’s triumphal arch. Tour the three magnificent temples - erected in honor of the three deities of the Capitol: Jupiter, Juno and Minerva - and the forum.
